Region: France - South West
Terroir: Cahors

Isabelle Rey-Auriat inherited her 14 hectare (35 acre) estate from her mother. Deeply committed to Cahors and its unique terroir and an enthusiastic supporter of Malbec, Isabelle has an instinctive feel for her native terroir. She took over the running of the vineyard in 1994 and led the estate down the organic road, achieving Agriculture Biologique status in 2011.

Isabelle Rey-AuriatIsabelle's efforts resulted in her becoming President of the Vignerons Indépendants du Lot and the first President of the Fédération Interdépartementale des Vignerons Indépendants de Midi-Pyrénées. In 2007 Isabelle was made a Chevalier of the Ordre National du Mérite Agricole.  Amongst all these honours, it is worthy of note that her wines are delicious reflections of the lively, joyful Cahors terroir of which the Hauts d'Aglan has become a great exemplar and a pathfinder for the Malbec vines.
