A true terroir wine, a blend of Pinot Noir, Trousseau and Poulsard, vinfied together and aged for four years in large 20 year old foudres. During this time, the foudres are only topped up once, no sulphur is added and the wine is left open to the elements. Amazingly, it still has a perfumed redcurrant fruitiness, coupled with a mellow structure and ripe tannins.
It is a totally stable wine and we recommend that, if at all possible, it should be opened 24 hours before drinking. It will continue to age and gain complexity for 50 years - and counting.
