Jean Bourdy's Crémant du Jura is a delightful sparkling wine made from 100% Chardonnay grapes, with abundant - but very delicate - bubbles and vibrant appley flavours. It is at its best served well chilled (3 - 5C).
Unusual, and more 'special' than champagne, this delicious wine is an ideal way to celebrate. Being lower pressure (and therefore more digestible), it can accompany an entire meal, making occasions logistically easier too.
An appellation of its own, Crémant du Jura deserves a wider audience - and it would be a very happy audience!
