L'Émotion is a blend of roughly equal parts of Carignan, Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah grapes from Pascal Fullá's amazing Mas de l'Ecriture property. This blend produces an exuberant, smooth wine, with Carignan providing the structure while Cinsault and Grenache provide fruit and elegance and the Syrah adding softness and complexity. We hold stock of his 2004, 2009, 2010 and 2012 vintages.
Reflecting the terroir of the Languedoc-Roussilon and the particular topography, soil and climate of Jonquières, Pascal's wines are produced under the AOP Coteaux du Languedoc - Terrasse du Larzac appellation.
This fresh and lively wine should be decanted for at least three hours before drinking - longer if you are strong-minded. Pascal suggests that L'Émotion can be enjoyed with San Daniele ham, a cheese platter, roast beef or grilled steak and pasta dishes of all sorts. Sounds good!
