Frédérique Vaquer is a fan of the ancient vine, Muscat à Petit Grain, and makes this pudding wine honouring that grape tradition.
Vaquer's Muscat combines freshness with concentration and strong fruit, with exotic scents of candied citrus, pineapple and mango - one rarely gets the opportunity to use the word 'unctuous', but this is such a moment. However, while deliciously sweet and fruity, the result is also exceptionally well-balanced, owing to its backbone of acidity.
This can be enjoyed cool as a dessert wine, or chilled slightly more as an aperitif too. Sensational in either mode.
